A lifelong athlete herself, Erin swam through college and these days you can find her on the lakefront path training for her 8th marathon, or in the gym as she recognizes that movement is medicine and like her patients, she is a happier healthier human when movement is a priority in her life. As healthcare practitioners, she believes it is also our responsibility to model the behaviors we prescribe.

Working with Erin, Your goals are Her goals as physical therapy is not limited by insurance constraints, with options available for wellness care and sports performance. Once you're feeling better the only question left is:Â

Services Provided
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
Dry Needling
Taping
Myofascial release and joint mobilization
Blood Flow Restriction training, commonly known as BFR, is the use of a medical grade tourniquet to promote expedited soft tissue healing and muscle growth all under very light (easy) load. This is particularly beneficial for patients post-operatively, or with painful joints that need to strengthen but cannot tolerate using much weight. Â

Dry Needling as performed by physical therapists can be very helpful to alleviate painful trigger points in specific muscles. In this application it is targeted and is a part of a comprehensive treatment plan including corrective exercise to address the underlying cause of the overload that created the muscle tension in the first place.

Needling can also be utilized to engage with the nervous system in a positive way and for tissue homeostasis and remodeling.

Depending on a client's needs, either Rock taping or Dynamic Taping can be utilized to improve movement patterns by driving input through the skin or to reduce load through a specific part of the body (respectively).

These interventions take effect immediately and are simple to apply and to remove
Myofascial release is a type of therapeutic soft tissue work that involves pinning and stretching the involved muscle and fascia to improve freedom of movement.

Joint mobilization seeks to restore optimal joint kinematics where motion has been lost.
