What is Trigger Point Dry Needling?

Trigger point dry needling is the use of a filiform needle to reduce resting muscle tension, often by eliciting a twitch response.  This is Not acupuncture, and is always a part of a larger treatment plan, as trigger points typically develop in muscle that is being overloaded

Dry Needling is helpful to alleviate acute and chronic pain from:

- muscle strains

- tension headache

- chronic neck pain

- altered shoulder mechanics

- acute or chronic low back pain

- any pain referred from muscle (see diagram of common upper trapezius patterns)
